SL announces new senior actuarial appointment

Global specialist asset manager, SL Investment Management (SL), has announced the appointment of Louise Witts as Senior Actuary within SL's Product and Proposition Development team.

Previously a Partner at Barnett Waddingham, Louise brings 20 years experience in the actuarial consulting industry, including pensions consultancy, investment consultancy, longevity product development and the modelling of construction capital projects.

Reporting to Chief Actuary, Ian Cotgias, Louise, a Fellow of the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries, will play a central role in product development, as well as providing technical input and advice to both clients and prospects, covering the purchasing and valuation of Traded Endowment Policies (TEPs) and Life Settlements, client reporting and the structuring of new portfolios.

Commenting on her appointment, Louise said:

"I have long admired SL's actuarial based approach to TEP and Life Settlement funds, which is the foundation of their leadership in these sectors. I look forward to playing my part in that continued success."

SL's CEO Paul Sands said:

"We are delighted that Louise has joined us. She will be an asset to our already strong actuarial team and joins in an exciting period of product development for the company."
