David has served as a Director of Portfolio Design Group International Limited ("PDGI"), the parent company of SL, since 1994. During this time his primary role has been to undertake the supervision of SL and its related operations, representing the interests of one of the major PDGI shareholders, Fitzwilton Group, based in Ireland. David became a Director of SL in 2011 and was appointed in his Special Projects role in 2017.

David has over twenty years' of senior level experience within the financial services sector, having served as a Non-Executive Director for both privately owned and AIM listed companies across the UK, Ireland and the Channel Islands. He has been instrumental in enabling these companies to provide a range of specialist financial services and products; from pan European asset lending, electronic trading platform services, to the creation of innovative insurance product tailored to High Net Worth individuals. David's energy, enthusiasm and determination to succeed, drives the Executive Team and new business development activities within SL.

David is a qualified member of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants ("CPA") in Ireland and he is the Chairman of the Financial Reporting Sub-Committee of the CPA in Ireland.

In his spare time David is a keen long distance runner, having successfully completed a number of marathons over the past few years, including the Tokyo marathon in 2014 as well as the London marathon in 2014 and 2015.
